Ferrum launches third business division: Ferrum Analytics and Sorting AG

We are pleased to announce that the Ferrum group - through its newly found subsidiary Ferrum Analytics and Sorting AG - has acquired the operations and assets of QualySense AG with immediate effect. With this step, the Ferrum group aims to set new standards for a more sustainable food industry.

Ferrum Analytics and Sorting AG (fka QualySense) is the inventor of the QualySense QSorter^®, an advanced and AI powered technology for the automated quality inspection and the fine sorting of grains, seeds, and beans, one by one, at speeds that range from 30 to 3’000 per second.

Francesco Dell’Endice, Co-Founder of QualySense and CEO&CCO of Ferrum Analytics and Sorting AG explains: “QualySense was founded in 2010 with the mission of making people discover the true value of food and agricultural resources. The QualySense QSorter^® is a robot for quality control, breeding and high-volume fine sorting. The QualySense QSorter^® delivers impressive accuracy and consistency in the measurement of quality parameters of seeds, grains and beans. The 3D Vision camera and the high-resolution spectroscopy sensor can detect the most challenging physical details as well as key biochemical properties. As of today, the company has key customers around the world and is progressing its expansion journey to offer robotics and analytics solutions to the entire food and agricultural world.
